To add the XtAdd button to your browser on the iPad or iPhone, choose one of these methods:
Method 1 - Syncing bookmarks from another device
If you use iCloud to synchronise your bookmarks with your Mac or PC, visit this page using that computer's Safari browser, and follow the instructions.
Method 2 - Adding it manually
For techies: add a regular bookmark to any page, then replace the URL with the Javascript given below. For everyone else, here's the individual steps. First scroll this page so you can see all the following instructions at once. Viewing in portrait mode is recommended. You'll need to know how to copy and paste text.
- First, double-tap on the following text box, and choose
Select All
, then Copy
.
Tap the Plus button to the left of the address bar. Select Add bookmark
.
- Select "Bookmarks bar" from the list of locations. Rename it if you wish, and tap
Save
Now, go back into your bookmarks by tapping the book icon.
- Tap the
Edit
button and then tap the XtAdd bookmark you just added.
- The second box contains a web address. Clear that out (tap the grey
X
) and then paste here.
- Tap outside the edit box and you're done!
